Back To Black
Blustery day on Staten Island, post-Easter.
We are treating Scamp’s tummy with kid gloves (and plain bread and water). I put away my bright pink sweater. I feel very uncomfortable in bright or light colors. I just know I am going to spill something on them.
If Scamp feels a bit better, we’ll pop up to Mandolin Brothers with her ukelele. It’s this incredible shop up the block from our house – run by the Jay family, they service string instruments for…well, everybody. Scamp loves it there.
Later on, Boot Camp with Gus, and then I flop like a happy rabbit on the couch for knitting and The Wire. We are on Season 4 and I am troubled by the thought of figuring out a new obsession when we’re done with this one.
